Hope for Africa International has been running  and supporting Orphans and Vulnerable children since 2001 in partnership with local Communities, has established and is  running  seventeen (37) Community Schools catering for 8,500 Orphans and vulnerable Children.

          Copperbelt Province, Zambia

  3. Pyuta Community School - situated in Luanshya District
  4. Kabuta Community School - situated in Chingola District
  5. Fipashi Community School - situated in Luanshya District

  7. Baptist Community School - situated in Chingola District

        Lusaka Province, Zambia

  1. Julius Community School - situated in Kafue District
  2. Linda Community School - situated in Kafue District
  3. Solar Community School - situated in Kafue District
  4. Chilanga Community Schools - situated in Kafue District
  5. Taukanso Community School - situated in Kafue District
  6. Mapepe Community School - situated in Kafue District

        Luapula Province, Zambia

  1. Mutiti Community School - situated in Mansa District
  2. Senama Community School - situated in Mansa District

Our schools have 320 Children on average. Out of the 17 schools, 15 run from grades 1 to 7 while 2 run from grades 1 to 9. These schools have 3 to 4 Volunteer Teachers on average. HOFAI has a huge challenge in meeting school running expenses which include the following among others:

  • Allowance for school staff
  • Rentals and utility bills
  • Stationery
  • Communication and Transport
  • Food, Cloths, Medical Care for OVCs,
  • etc

SCHOOL SUPPORT

HOFAI receives numerous applications for sponsorship into Government and Private schools. These applications are considered based on the availability of funds. Need for support in this area is overwhelming we therefore need partners to sponsor a child for $ 25 a month. Our schools are managed by volunteer teachers and community workers we accepts local and International volunteers. Mostly we have pupils from grade 1 to 9. These schools have 3 to 4 Volunteer Teachers on average and we have a huge challenge in meeting school running expenses which include the following among others:
